SCREAMING FOR IT.

Whether you do ice cream, sorbet, gelato, frozen yogurt, or ultra-whatever, do it with these porcelain cuties. Plus there’s a nice bonus: you don’t have to worry about all those pesky calories in the cone.

Or for that matter, the extra carbs. I know, but you know what I’m saying.

AH-CHOO YOU.

‘Tis the season for summer colds. It’s hot, it’s cold, and it’s muggy; too much A/C, not enough A/C, it’s raining … vicious, vicious cycle that plays havoc with your poor delicate put-together. We have to suffer through, but please with a tasteful house for all those inevitable tissues.

I know it doesn’t quite have the sophistication of Granny’s multi-colored crocheted version with pom-poms and sequins all over it, but it’s high time to get over that version, sweet chickens.

Oh, it comes in plenty of colors for your bleary eyes to choose from. But here’s how it works:

The Paper Pot is here. Gesundheit!

JUST DESSERTS.

These handmade slip-cast porcelain plates are yes, perfect for dessert or bon bons or some nutty things, but consider them for other stuff, too. I personally think they’d be quite dandy to display little mementos or treasures or found objects or to just dump the junk from your pockets.

Paper thin they are. I have no idea what the numbers mean and don’t really care because they are so amazing. I think I’ll make-up some story … you can, too. Get them here.

WOODSTOCK | 40.

Yup, it’s the 40th anniversary of Woodstock. Let’s celebrate the fact that we weren’t there. Let’s commemorate in a way that is slightly more civilized than listening to music in mud and muck stoned out of our minds … naked. Let’s now listen to said music with Blossom and Bill and wax poetic about those who were the original Woodstockers.

40th anniversary of Woodstock

Meet Blossom and Bill, they are in love. Their journey has only just started; their story is yet to unfold. And of course, they also come in RED.

FLOWER POWER.

Go get yourself a pocketful of posies, a bunch of blooms and a bevy of buds. Cram the whole kit and kaboodle in, fluff ’em up, then stand back and admire. Oh, don’t forget to add water. Now stand back and admire. You did good.

The vases that will make you look good every time, here.

CALL ME.

Phone home. Let’s stay in touch. Call, we should do lunch. How many times have you heard all that? So, listen. If you had a phone like this one, you’d want to call, to yak with someone, anyone, for hours on end.

The Scandiphone was first introduced in the ‘50’s and it was quite the innovative moment. Now it’s retro, right? Pretty hysterical, but this phone has been updated for today, and has the requisite redial button, ringer volume, on/off switch and tone/pulse switch. Just plug it into the outlet thing and you’re good to go. And it comes in red!

Forget the Princess phone, get this one, here.

ROCK THIS.

You will covet. You will crave. You will be amazed. You will miss the boat if you don’t act quickly.

Yoran Morvant is one talented guy and is surely going blind soon. An architectural draftsman by day, he places these intricate drawings on stones that are inspired by his landscape drawings.

The 2009 collection of Pierres Graphiques by Yoran Morvant has just delivered, here.

SPRING POSIES.

I have every faith that Spring will one day make an appearance. Hope springs eternal. In the meantime, we’re all losing our minds wanting, wishing, needing, screaming bloody murder for it. Here are a couple of reminders that Spring does indeed exist, and both will put a smile on your face and spring in your step, so to speak.

Piero Fornasetti first created his graphic scarves in 1950 and this one has just been re-issued, so it’s ultra-extra-special. Silk twill with hand-rolled edges and a whopping 35” square. Don’t you just want to bury your nose in these flowers? Yeah, don’t do that. You’ll find it here.

If these don’t jog your memory about spring flowers, honey, nothing will and you’re just a lost cause, poor thing. Artist Dustan Knight creates these sweet watercolors for only $35 each, and there is nothing that’s better than that! You’ll find them here.

TOWER OF POWER.

Wait till you see this thing. It’s genius, brilliant and completely cool. A mild-mannered object that morphs into dinnerware. It’s called the Ming (as in vase), and there are six puzzle pieces: two bowls, 2 salad bowls, one serving plate and one cute little pot with a lid.

Crazy, huh? And hold on to your hats, because it also comes in red. RED. Okay, my life is now complete.

The Ming vase by iBride, is right here.

SPRING FOWARD

Okay, so we’ve all sprung forward, but where the hell is Spring? I mean, really. The sun is a stranger, the winds still howl like a banshee, and I for one feel like an onion with all the layers I still have to wear. And no, I don’t smell like one.

Thankfully, there are pretty little vases like these that give us all hope that Spring really does exist … somewhere … at some point … soon, please?

Hope springs eternal on the Spring thing, here.

Have you noticed that there’s a Bunnies and Such? Well you should, because there is. Three guesses what it’s all about ….
