Steer clear of those chain Italian restaurants—you know the one’s we’re talking about—and hightail it to Bryan’s newest authentic Italian venture, Amico Nave Ristorante. This family-run restaurant located on Villa Maria has a menu stocked with tasty Italian favorites, a great ambiance for a date or a relaxing girls’ night out and is a short drive from campus. We recommend starting with the blue cheese flatbread and finishing with the ricotta cheesecake!

Don’t let the stress of last-minute projects and final exams follow you into your summer vacation. Properly unwind before relaxing for the next few months by spending a few hours at Galleria Day Spa in Bryan for some much needed pampering. Keep it small with a pedicure, or indulge in a Swedish massage, grab a cup of hot tea, sit back, relax and let the stress melt away.
Co-Town Crepes

The best thing to do on a Saturday morning in Waco is to head down to the farmers market and order a tasty crepe from Co-Town Crepes. They have fun and delicious combinations of flavors and you can watch them being made right before your eyes. Definitely a favorite weekend treat for the campus crowd and the locals!

Love Me Some Loafers
April 5, 2013

This spring, we are obsessed with loafers! They’re cute, comfortable, sophisticated, and perfect for this inconsistent Texas weather.
Tod’s is our go-to for the classic loafer. From neutrals to brights to funky snake-skin patterns, there are so many options from the storied Italian brand, which was a fave of Princess Diana.
Hadleigh’s, sold at Neiman Marcus and at the brand’s namesake shop in Dallas’ Highland Park Village, offer a more detailed look. With the iconic “H” on the top of the shoe, these loafers are girly, while still maintaining a preppy-professional look.
And last but certainly not least, J.Crew has the understated loafer look down. These are affordable and can go with virtually any outfit.
