Just about everyone is poor in college. You’re in good company. Try a part-time job, if you’re coming up short.

Here are a few ideas

1. Look into retail jobs at a local mall. These are fantastic for part-timers and the hours are usually really good.
2. Look into on campus jobs or work studies. These jobs will help you get to know the campus and meet new people. They are generally willing to work around your school schedule and will allow you to do your homework on your downtime.
3. Waiter or Waitress. This is the most popular job on college campuses. The hours are not always the best but the customer service experience is priceless and there is food involved!
4. After you know your major, look for jobs in that field.
5. Check out the school newspaper and the career center on campus. There are always job postings and opportunities.
6. Remember you’re building your resume.
