For the creative folk who enjoy viewing the world from behind a lens, the newest camera shop to hit Austin, Lomography, is a must-see. Located just south of the Capital on Congress, the new store looks just as much like a gallery as it does a shop.  The inside has an impressive photo wall of shots taken by local Austin Lomographers. Quick photog lesson: lomographers are dedicated to analogue photography (see below), selling a wide selection of cameras that create pictures unlike anything you could capture with your digital camera or iPhone apps.  This is a great place to shop for presents, or to start your newest creative venture over the holiday break!
