Texas gals know their statement jewelry, so we’re more than on top the resurgence of statement necklaces. These bold baubles are a great way to add color to an ordinary outfit. Wear it over a buttoned up collar to be on the forefront of this trend. We can’t get enough of this look, and are spying it all over campus! Fashion tip: pair a statement necklace with an otherwise minimal look to avoid looking too be-jeweled; we’ll leave that to Lady Gaga. Here are a few options from one of our favorite Texans, Kendra Scott:

Lawrence’s

-tcu,

With Mother’s Day and graduation right around the corner, you’re going to have to start searching for gifts now to avoid sending your mom a “creative” handmade gift for the second year in a row. We recommend starting your search with Lawrence’s, across the parking lot from Central Market. Some familiar designers include Jon Hart, Vera Bradley, Stephanie Ann, Christopher Radko, Lollia and Kendra Scott.
Lawrence’s also recently started carrying Zoubaby rain boots. Not only will these babies be much-needed in the upcoming onslaught of spring showers, but you can personalize each pair with an embroidered monogram!
Charming Accessories

-am,

White t-shirt? Pretty boring. White t-shirt plus shiny baubles? Fabulous! The only problem is that when given the choice between spending $40 on a new blouse or $40 on a necklace, we’ll always choose the blouse. That’s why Charming Charlie, on the corner of Texas and George Bush just next to campus, is our go-to spot for last minute accessories. The store has a piece of jewelry for every occasion—literally—and has a convenient color-coded set up. Make sure you have a leave a good chunk of time to browse this store, because with prices so “charming,” you’ll need it.
Parkhill’s Jewelry and Gifts
April 15, 2012
-tcu,

Jon Hart, jewelry, and Texas accessories galore make this gift store the perfect stop for any Fortworthian. Just a short walk from campus, this quaint little gift shop is located in Fort Worth’s historic Park Hill neighborhood. Parkhill’s also offers gift-wrap and delivery, making your shopping experience even more convenient. So stop in for a fun and friendly vibe.
P.S. – Grads, it’s never too early to start thinking about graduation gifts for you and your friends!

-ut,

Calling all single ladies in ATX: Austin Best Store Eliza Page, a fabulous jewelry boutique, is hosting their I Want Candy party this Valentine’s Day and you’re invited! Don’t spend your night whipping out the tissues during your favorite Nicholas Sparks saga—treat yourself to glamorous baubles, fruity cocktails, and delicious treats. The fun starts at 5:30pm, and if you arrive early enough, you may even snag a swag bag filled with gifts from Eliza Page, Hiatus Spa+Retreat, Teddies for Bettys, Estilo and Milk+Honey.
This event not only features fabulous designs by Eliza Page and local line BonBon by Micah Yancey, but also provides an amazing opportunity to try out a dry-style by Austin’s new Blo Blow Dry Bar. While pampering yourself, nibble on sweets by Holy Cacao and sip on “Love Bite” cocktails from Tenneyson Absinthe Royale. To recap: you’ll get cocktails, tasty treats and swag bags, all while donning a red carpet-ready do. Don’t be late though, because the party’s over at 7pm and this is not an event you want to miss! RSVP here to save yourself a spot.
