What to Wear During Recruitment: SMU Edition
December 21, 2012
-smu,

Not everybody has a big sister who can talk them through the odd, yet exciting process of joining a new sorority, so we’re here to offer you seasoned advice on what to wear during Panhellenic Recruitment.
We’ve got to hand it to you—it’s tricky. You want to be confident and comfortable, and while you want to stand out to the different houses, you certainly don’t want to stand out in a bad way. Well, stick with us and you’ll do just fine.
Open House
You’ll be visiting all eight sororities during the Open House round, so that means a lot of first impressions. The key is to keep it casual—you will be wearing an SMU tee, after all—while finding subtle ways to let potential sororities know just how fabulous you are. When in doubt, we turn to shoes to make a statement. Keep weather in mind when pulling your outfits together—it will be COLD. Jackets have to stay outside, but light sweaters are permitted inside each chapter house, so use it as another opportunity to show off your style!
- Rag & Bone Skinny Heritage Jean at The Shak at Stanley Korshak
- Staring At Stars Reversible Intarsia Knit Cardigan
- Frye Melissa Button Short
- Lord & Taylor Carolee The Annie White Faux Pearl Stud Earrings
- SMU Mustangs Ladies Team Arch Slim Fit T-Shirt **Bonus: if you’re feeling particularly creative, some girls make their own SMU tee’s at McCartney’s on Hillcrest!
Philanthropy Day
The number of houses you visit will decrease as recruitment progresses, so count on spending more time at each house on day two. You’ll be rocking your Go Greek t-shirt during this round, so be sure to stand out with cute accessories without overdoing it. You may be participating in craft projects on this day, so don’t wear anything irreplaceable just in case.
- J Crew Midrise Toothpick Jean in Distressed Indigo
- Marc by Marc Jacobs Vivid Coral Multi-Band Leather Bracelet
- Diane von Furstenberg Draped Two-Tone Cardigan
- BDG Tall Leather Back-Zip Boot in Brown
Skit Day
SMU’s recruitment is a bit unique in that it takes place during the winter, which means a simple sun dress isn’t quite appropriate when it’s sub 30-degrees outside. The bright side is that you don’t have to worry about sweating all of your makeup off waiting to visit your next house! Pair a blazer or a form fitting sweater over a seasonally appropriate dress—not too short, you may be sitting on bleachers—and you’ll be golden for this day. Most girls will be wearing basic pumps, but you’ll get extra points for finding a pair with a subtle tribute to your own personal style.
- Anthropologie Chignon Dress
- Topshop Structured Blazer
- Vanessa Mooney Chain Necklace
- Georgia by Schutz
Preference Night
At this point in recruitment, sororities are trying to woo you just as much as you’re trying to impress them. Preference Night is a very subdued, intimate round with lots of talking, so make sure your outfit reflects as much. Think cocktail or evening wedding attire, but stay away from anything prom-esque. Darker hues are always flattering, and are perfect for the cold weather. You won’t be doing much walking, so heels are a must, but do make sure your dress is comfortable enough to wear sitting for long periods of time.
- Anthropologie Accordian Midi Dress
- Kate Spade Fragment Pearl Drop Earrings
- Christian Louboutin Daffodile 160mm
- Alice + Olivia Ophelia Metallic Dress
- Kate Spade Plaza Athenee Drop Earrings
- Aperlai Bordeaux Velvet Geisha Doll Heels
Bid Day
Congratulations—you made it! This day is all about relaxation and celebrating with your new sisters, so throw on a comfy pair of tennis, your favorite pair of jeans and a long sleeve white tee. Your new sorority will have a chapter retreat planned, and a new member tee for you to throw on once you get to your new house.
- 1969 Legging Jeans in Santa Cruz Blue
- The Classic Long Sleeve Tee by Rage & Bone
- Nike Free Run 4.0 in Violet/Electric Green
What to Wear During Recruitment: Baylor Edition
December 19, 2012
-baylor,

Not everybody has a big sister who can talk them through the odd, yet exciting process of joining a new sorority, so we’re here to offer you seasoned advice on what to wear during Panhellenic Recruitment.
We’ve got to hand it to you—it’s tricky. You want to be confident and comfortable, and while you want to stand out to the different houses, you certainly don’t want to stand out in a bad way. Well, stick with us and you’ll do just fine.
Open House Parties
On the first day of Baylor’s formal recruitment process, you’ll be visiting all eight sorority houses. Everybody will be wearing the same recruitment t-shirt, so aim to express your own personal style through a few well-chosen accessories. When in doubt, a killer pair of comfy shoes will get the job done here as well—after all, heels and t-shirts generally don’t mix unless you’re on ANTM. Last, but most certainly not least, you’ll be sitting on the floor for these parties, so we’d opt for a pair of high-rise pants to avoid any potentially embarrassing fashion mishaps.
- BDG Cigarette High-Rise Jean in Pure Blue
- Chan Luu Leather Wrap Bracelet
- Frye Engineer 8R Boots in Burnt Red
Slide Show Day
Attire for the next two days can potentially be very similar, so we like to take advantage of the more casual feel of the slide show round. Thankfully, you’ll be able to park it in a chair for this round, but comfortable shoes are still a must because you’ll potentially be attending up to six parties on this day. Menswear is a big trend this season, and we simply cannot get enough of the preppy look these wingtip shoes bring to any outfit—bonus: they’re perfect for Baylor’s green and gold color combo!
- Minni Pant in Stretch Twill in Boulevard Green
- Pim + Larkin Round Cabachon Stud Earring
- Colorblock Stripe Sweater
- Cole Haan Lunar Grand Wingtip in Maple Sugar/Lime Light
Skit Day
Most girls will be rocking flats today, but you’re not most girls. Comfortable shoes are still paramount, but we think it’s essential to upgrade to something slightly more elevated (literally) during these next two rounds. Our compromise? A dressy boot paired with a seasonally-appropriate dress. Since temperatures will undoubtedly be chilly, take the classy route and throw on a pair of sheer tights under your dress. It’s a simple combo that ends up making a big impact!
- Kimchi Blue Alabama Dress
- Hive & Honey Hammered Coil Ring
- House of Harlow Pearl Vial Necklace
- Nine West Haywire Bootie in Dark Taupe Suede
- (not pictured) UO Sheer Tight
Preference Day
Today is a serious day, so your outfit should definitely reflect as much. You’ll be attending two parties at most during Preference Night at Baylor, so expect to be sitting down a large majority of the time. Read: this is your green light to bust out the pumps. Think an evening at the symphony as opposed to going out for drinks with the girls. We turn to classic dress shapes and demure hemlines during Preference Night, and limit our pops of color to one area. Try an LBD with some colored heels, or a flattering dress with some black pumps and classic jewelry.
- Studded Collar Lampshade Dress
- Elektra by Mark & James by Badgley Mischka
- Echo Park Stud Earring
- Lucca Couture Gold Sequin Dress
- Kate Spade Plaza Athenee Drop Earrings
- Seychelles Miles Away Heel
Bid Day
Just because the courting process is over doesn’t mean you get to revert back to your usual college wardrobe…yet. You’ll want to be casual, but still look nice when you receive a formal invitation to join your future sorority. We’d opt for dark wash skinnies, a nice top and some flats or your shoes from days one or two. You’ll be headed to Bid Day parties after you receive your formal invitation, so wear something you won’t regret seeing all over Facebook for the next week.
- 1969 Always Skinny Jeans
- CeCe Suede Ballet Flats
- Maison de Morgana Chinese Knot Earring
- Bagatelle Buttondown

Once you turn in your official application, all that’s left to tackle is what to wear for each day of the recruitment process. We’ve rounded up wardrobe suggestions from the Panhellenic experts at A&M, Tech, TCU and UT so that you’ll have one less thing to worry about as you gear up for the new school year. Take a look at our recommendations, and if you have any questions, shoot us a comment and we’ll be happy to help!

tech,

Not everybody has a big sister who can talk them through the odd, yet exciting process of joining a new sorority, so we’re here to offer you seasoned advice on what to wear during Panhellenic Recruitment.
We’ve got to hand it to you—it’s tricky. You want to be confident and comfortable, and while you want to stand out to the different houses, you certainly don’t want to stand out in a bad way. Well, stick with us and you’ll do just fine.
Period One: Your favorite Texas Tech T-shirt with pants, walking shorts or jeans
Even though it’s hot in Lubbock, you’re going to want to leave your short shorts at home for Period One of recruitment at Tech—remember, you’re dressing for other women, not men. The upside is that you get to spend two days sporting your favorite Tech t-shirts—and no variation of those—and comfortable shoes. To avoid sporting an unsightly farmer’s tan for the rest of recruitment, lather on the SPF before each day begins. You’ll visit every sorority on these two days, so be sure to ask questions to help you narrow down your list for Period Two. Tip: leave the watches at home, it’s rude if you’re in a house and keep glancing at your watch.
- Gap Boyfriend Roll-Up Short
- Summerweight Chino Short
- Ray Ban Aviator Large Vintage Lens
- Vans Authentic Lo Pro Gore Shoe
- NCAA Women’s Texas Tech Raiders Countdown V-Neck Tee
- Texas Tech Red Raiders Ladies Endzone T-Shirt
Period Two: Casual sundress, capri pants or skirt and top
You’ll be doing less walking today—but not by much—so don’t ditch the comfy footwear yet. Stick with light, airy materials to beat the heat, and even though capri pants and skirts will suffice, there’s no denying the cute convenience of a cotton sundress. Whichever outfit you choose, make sure you feel good about what you’re wearing. The right outfit helps you exude confidence without trying too hard while you learn about each sorority’s philanthropy and community service.
- River Island Cream Floral Print Peplum Top
- Tan Distressed Vintage Goat Justin Boots
- Splendid Jersey and Voile Tank Dress
- J Brand Jeans White Mid Rise Skinny Capri
- Kendra Scott Morgan Stud Earrings in Yellow
- Minnetonka Tassel-Thong Sandal
Period Three: Church attire or dressy skirt and top
Church attire these days can mean anything from jeans and a nice top to a casual dress, but be advised: this is definitely a step up from the previous two rounds. Dress up a cotton dress with a pair of wedges—perfect for walking—or play around with different patterns with a skirt and top. We suggest throwing a pair of flats in a bag in case you need to rush to the other side of Greek circle—heels aren’t the best for running. You’ll want to keep it classy, so avoid the short skirts. You’ll be spending more time in each lodge today, so be ready for a little Q&A. Make the most of your time at each sorority; you only get to visit two lodges tomorrow.
- Warehouse Orchid Print Dress
- Bed Stu Sybille Heel
- Textured Peplum Skirt
- Otte T Top in Hot Pink
- Belle Noel Mini Dagger Collar Necklace
- Via Spiga Meredith
Preference Night: After-five or cocktail dress
You’re almost there! Heels are a must for this outfit, and we’d avoid the cotton dresses today. Even though today is more serious in nature, it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your cocktail dress. Most of the sorority houses will be wearing black dresses, so pick a frock that will help you stand out from the crowd and pair it with neutral heels. Be prepared to make your final decision after this round, and don’t hesitate to let members know if you really like their sorority!
- Dry Lake Trudy Dress
- Lela Rose Metallic Tweed Dress
- Feature Black Crepe Dress
- Diane Von Furstenberg Jeanette Sandal
- Michael Antonio Love Me Suede Pump
Bid Day: Casual bottoms and casual tops
Sport your favorite pair of jeans or shorts and a plain top for bid day. After you receive your official invitation to join a sorority, you’ll be given a t-shirt to wear once you arrive at your new lodge. Wear whatever shoes you please, as you’ll be taken to your new sorority house via CitiBus from the United Spirit Arena. You might want to stretch those face muscles; you’ll be smiling for pictures all night long!
- Beige Sheath Round Neck Sequin Short Sleeve Chiffon Blouse
- Ecote Sunray Thong Sandal
- H&M Shorts
What to Wear During Recruitment: A&M Edition
-
am,

Not everybody has a big sister who can talk them through the odd, yet exciting process of joining a new sorority, so we’re here to offer you seasoned advice on what to wear during Panhellenic Recruitment.
We’ve got to hand it to you—it’s tricky. You want to be confident and comfortable, and while you want to stand out to the different houses, you certainly don’t want to stand out in a bad way. Well, stick with us and you’ll do just fine.
Days 1 & 2: “Go Greek” t-shirt, shorts or skirt and comfortable shoes
To say A&M’s campus is large would be an understatement, but thankfully most of the sorority houses are all located within a one-mile radius. Even if you’d ordinarily never be caught in a pair of flats, you’re going to have to make an exception for these two days. Casual sandals—not flip-flops, so leave the Rainbows at home—or a comfortable pair of flats will suit you just fine. Everybody will be wearing the same “Go Greek” t-shirt, so use your bottoms as a way to stand out. These two days will be high energy, so get ready for lots of singing and clapping.
- Kendra Scott Danielle Earrings
- Banana Republic Pleated Short
- DV by Dolce Vita Archer Sandal
- MICHAEL Michael Kors ‘City’ Ballet Flat
- BCBGMAXAZRIA Lace Shorts
Day 3: Casual sundress, skirt/blouse combo
Because it’s the easier option, the majority of girls will be sporting a cotton sundress. Feel free to sport heels on this day, but if you want to avoid the blisters, dressy flats or sandals will absolutely get the job done. Keep accessories to a minimum, and have fun with your dress—just make sure it’s not too short.
- Tory Burch Caroline Ballet Flat
- Amanda Uprichard Kelly Dress
- Stella McCartney Tallow Silk Skirt
- Dawn by Lauren by Ralph Lauren
- J.Crew Blythe Blouse in Silk
Day 4: Nice dress and heels
If you’re not used to wearing heels, we definitely suggest taking a few laps around your room for practice—they’re a must from this point on. Today is a step up from day three, so make sure your dress is in a nicer fabric. There are a million dresses out there, so wear something that makes you feel fabulous. Your list of sororities is down to six, so be attentive at each house—your list will be even smaller tomorrow!
- Cobalt Shift Dress
- Zigi Soho Revel Pump
- Milly Madeira Printed Silk-Chiffon Dress
- Matte Gold Bar Necklace by Hive & Honey
- Michael Antonio Love Me Patent Pump
Day 5: Cocktail dress and heels
Say it with us: no prom dresses! You probably have a darling dress left over from a high school formal, but veto anything floor length on this day. Cocktail dresses and heels only, and even though a wedge is more comfortable, you’ll want to sport a pair of pumps. Embellishments and lace are perfect starting points for your cocktail dress, but don’t wear anything that’s too body-hugging. If you take the LBD route, pair it with statement accessories to help you stand out. Think upscale dinner party, not night at the club. Today is a serious day, so if you’ve found your match let a member know!
- Pink Agate Deco Chandelier Earrings
- Peplum Mini Dress by C.Luce
- ALDO ‘Firpi’ Pump
- BCBGMAXAZRIA Drape-Front One Shoulder Satin Dress
- Kate Spade Frame of Mind Hinge Bangle
- Brian Atwood ‘Francoise’ Pump
Day 6: Comfortable attire
You have free reign on bid day! After you receive your formal invitation, you’ll be bused to sorority row to spend the evening with your sisters where you’ll be given a t-shirt. Basic shorts will suffice, but the number of Facebook photos you’ll be tagged in will be endless, so why not wear something a little cuter? Avoid white bottoms, because most bid day shirts are white. Congratulations, you made it!
- Splendid Tank in Black
- Delia’s Lightweight Denim Shirt
- J.Crew Nautical Stripe Short
- Trina Turk ‘Alto Cinco’ Cuff Shorts
- TOMS Oatmeal Herringbone Women’s Classics
- Ray Ban ‘Navigator’ 59mm Sunglasses
- Tory Burch ‘Miller 2’ Thong Sandal
What to Wear During Recruitment: TCU Edition
-
tcu,

Not everybody has a big sister who can talk them through the odd, yet exciting process of joining a new sorority, so we’re here to offer you seasoned advice on what to wear during Panhellenic Recruitment.
We’ve got to hand it to you—it’s tricky. You want to be confident and comfortable, and while you want to stand out to the different houses, you certainly don’t want to stand out in a bad way. Well, stick with us and you’ll do just fine.
Day 1: Panhellenic t-shirt (provided) + khaki or other casual shorts and comfortable shoes
- 3” Short in Tiki Print
- Chan Luu Crystal Beaded Wrap Bracelet: Lemon
- Matt Bernson Jack Strappy Flat Sandals
- Floral Crochet Shorts
- Philosophy ‘Here Comes the Sun’ Age Defense Sunscreen SPF 30
- Restricted Gloria Loafer
The PNM’s at TCU spend their down time between chapter houses outside. Shaded tents provide some respite from the Texas heat, but fair warning: it will be HOT. The key to round one is to look cute without sacrificing comfort. We suggest neutral shorts—don’t fear a little flare, this is TCU after all—and comfortable shoes. Feel free to pack a mini stick of deodorant and anything else you might need for touch-ups in the plastic baggie you’re given at orientation—you can leave your stuff with your Rho Gammas while you visit each chapter house. Expect glacial temperatures in each chapter house—thank goodness—and more excited girls singing in unison than you’ve ever seen before.
Day 2: Shorts and a nice top with comfortable shoes
- Reformed By The Reformation Lina Romper
- Dorothy Perkins Black Cross Over Strap Sandals
- DV by Dolce Vita Women’s Archer Sandal
- John Lewis Mango Fluorine Blouse
- Roberto Cavalli Freesia Shorts
You finally get to ditch the recruitment tee in lieu of something a little more “you.” No need to bust out the heels yet, but swap that t-shirt out for a blouse or dressy tank top paired with shorts. If you feel like mixing it up, opt for a fun romper with a belted waist. You’ve narrowed down your list of houses, so you’ll be able to spend more time getting to know the members. If you’re nervous, remember that each chapter house wants to impress you as much as you want to impress them.
Day 3: A dressier dress or skirt/blouse combo and heels
- Urban Renewal Scallop Back Dress
- Chloe Ankle Strap Wedge Sandal
- Cole Haan Air Kimry Strappy Wedge
- Tulip Sundress
- Flocked Cobalt Dress
Elevate your wardrobe for day three—literally. Even if you usually opt for flats, you’re going to want to purchase something with a heel on it. Take advantage of your last chance for comfortable shoes and opt for a wedge. There will be chairs inside each chapter house, but between visits, you’ll be parking your derriere on the ground. Read: avoid a Britney moment and say no to super-short hemlines. Today is skit day—one of our favorites—and your list of houses to visit will be smaller yet. Don’t be afraid to ask questions; one of these sorority houses will be your home for the next four years, so it’s important to make a well-educated decision.
Day 4: Preference Night: Cocktail attire
- Nude Lace Dress
- Roberto Cavalli Printed Crepe-Jersey Dress
- BCBGeneration Sleeveless Shift Dress
- Franco Sarto Cicero Pump
- KORS Michael Kors Vail Suede Wedge Pumps
Sure, an LBD will get the job done here, but why not use this as an opportunity to remind these sororities why you’re so fabulous. Avoid formal and prom dresses completely, but don’t be afraid to wear a statement dress. Have fun with your outfit, but be weary of skyscraper heels—face planting is never cute. Today is your last day to talk to these sororities, so expect more face time in an intimate setting. If you’ve found the sorority you want to join, don’t be shy about letting the members know.
Day 5: Bid Day
- Unisex Sheer Jersey Short Sleeve Deep V-Neck
- TOMS Burlap Slip-On
- Keds X UO Tie-Dye Champion Sneaker
- Gap 1969 Always Skinny Jeans
Back to relaxing on day five! You’ve paraded around chapter houses all week, and today you finally get to celebrate with all of your new sorority sisters. Throw on your favorite pair of shorts and some comfy shoes—you’ll be walking from the auditorium to your chapter house with your new pledge class. Wear a plain white tee, because your new sorority will have a brand new pledge tee waiting for your at the house!
Here’s to going Greek!
What to Wear During Recruitment: University of Texas Edition
-
ut,

Not everybody has a big sister who can talk them through the odd, yet exciting process of joining a new sorority, so we’re here to offer you seasoned advice on what to wear during Panhellenic Recruitment.
We’ve got to hand it to you—it’s tricky. You want to be confident and comfortable, and while you want to stand out to the different houses, you certainly don’t want to stand out in a bad way. Well, stick with us and you’ll do just fine.
Open House: recruitment t-shirt (provided), khaki shorts and tennis shoes
Make the most of your required recruitment t-shirt, and stand out with a braided’do or some sneakers. Austin is one of the most fashionable cities in the US, so feel free to make this limiting outfit your own with an arm stack or some cute earrings. Tennis shoes are suggested because you’ll be doing quite a bit of walking, but if you have a pair of sandals that are up to the challenge—no flip flops, please—feel free to sport those instead. Get as much rest as you can the night before; these are two very high-energy days and you don’t want to be remembered as that girl who couldn’t stop yawning in the corner.
- Oasis Side Panel Short
- Lara Bohinc Solar Eclipse Bracelet
- Nike Free TR Fit 2 Sneakers
- Michael Kors Linen Mini Shorts
- Kendra Scott Dee Earrings in Green
- Bernardo Women’s Miran DVC Sandal
Philanthropy Round: daytime dresses or skirts, comfortable sandals or flats
Darn, you’ll have to buy two new outfits for this round, but thankfully Austin is loaded with stylish boutiques. You’ll be participating in small projects that benefit each chapter’s philanthropy, so don’t expect to be immobile once you get to each house. Read: make sure your outfit is comfortable. A maxi dress with some gladiators immediately springs to mind, but do not wear any denim or flip flops. Throw on a cotton dress for day two, and do not skimp on the sunscreen—the Texas sun is hot, and an ill-placed sun burn can put a serious damper on the rest of the week.
- Velvet ‘Lelan’ Dress
- Charlotte Russe Neon-Sole Gladiator Sandal
- Ella Moss Mitered Stripe Dress
- Givenchy Salmonskin Two-Piece Flat Sandal
- Alice + Olivia Jayme Trapeze Skirt Dress
Skit Round: luncheon, tea or ceremony attire
Think graduation day attire, so yes, you’ll want to step it up to heels on this day. Don’t worry if they’re not too comfortable; you’ll be able to wear sandals between houses and throw your heels on before you go in. Don’t worry if your bag doesn’t match your outfit, either; your recruitment counselors will keep an eye on your goods while you’re inside. Expect one-on-one conversations today, so have some questions in mind to avoid an awkward silence—if you don’t act interested, then sororities will assume you’re not serious about joining their house.
- Warehouse Embellished Bodice Soft Prom Dress
- Rainbow Floral Peplum Dress
- Diane Von Furstenberg Carpreena Mini Rose Jacquard Dress
- Diane Von Furstenberg Opal Leather Architectural Wedge Sandals
- Christian Louboutin 140mm Bianca Pumps
Preference Night: cocktail dress
Find the most killer LBD you can and rock it with accessories. Think Audrey Hepburn and avoid skimpy or too-short hemlines. Statement necklaces are your best friend today, and feel free to add a little pizzazz with some bright colored pumps. This will be your last chance to visit your final three chapter houses, so let a member know if you’ve found the sorority for you. You’re almost there…
- Rachel Zoe Isabelle II One-Shoulder Dress
- Kendra Scott Fallon Earrings
- Christian Louboutin Bianca 140mm Pumps
- Kate Spade New York “Mulholland Drive” Necklace
- Paul & Joe Rizolait Bustier Dress
- Notte By Marchesa One-Shoulder Lace Dress
- Tinley Road Three Teardrop Earring
- Prada Suede T-Strap 130mm Louis Heel and 15mm Platform
Bid Day: comfortable daytime dresses or skirts, comfortable sandals or flats
Unlike most university bid days, the ladies at UT revert back to philanthropy attire. Whichever outfit you choose, remember you’ll probably be wearing it for a few hours. After you receive your formal sorority bid, your new pledge class will head back to the chapter house for pictures, dinner, pictures, “get to know you” games and…more pictures. Don’t wear any denim on this day, but any cotton dress or skirt will suffice. You can finally relax—you made it!
- Dorothy Perkins Beige Crochet Detailed Dress
- Alice + Olivia Leila Belted Color-Block Crepe Maxi Dress
- French Connection Tribal Tease Dress
- Tory Burch Casey Flat Sandals
- Kimchi Blue Macrame Slingback Sandal in White
Your Biggest Crush
May 18, 2012
-am,

Finals week is finally out of the way, and it’s time to put down the Red Bull and treat yourself with a cupcake from Crush Cupcakes. Cupcakes from this bakery—located next to Muldoon’s Coffee House—are the sweetest in town and come in inventive flavors like lemon blueberry (the “crush” of the month) and key lime cupcake (a must try!). They’ll happily cater graduation parties, or provide the perfect individual cupcake—or three—for a pick-me-up after too many days spent in the library.
Greek Treats
January 20, 2012
-smu,

In our opinion, it’s never too early to start a Greek t-shirt collection. So Bid Day was only a few days ago, and you’re still dying to load up on your new sorority letters? Congratulations, you’re normal. And can we just say we love the enthusiasm? Two stores that guarantee a great selection of shirts are McCartney’s University Spirit and Brown Bag.
McCartney’s is conveniently situated next to SMU’s campus on Hillcrest, making a shopping trip between classes a possibility. We love that you can customize any fleece, rugby shirt or trinket your heart desires at this store.
Even though you may live in Dallas, hopping on the TRE (read: Trinity River Express) to Fort Worth is nothing compared to the wonders you’ll find at Brown Bag. A Fort Worth institution for the last thirty years, this store specializes in hand-painted items, stitched shirts and sweatshirts and hundreds of other cute must-haves.
