A couple of months ago, we confirmed that the sisters behind former College Station Best Store (they’re moving to Round Top in early 2012) Junk Gypsy Co. were getting their own show on HGTV.

Cirque du Soleil’s OVO is playing in Frisco right now, and we had the pleasure of seeing the show yesterday afternoon. It was fantastique! (Maybe the show’s French origins rubbed off on us a little too much…)

OVO is without a doubt, one of the best Cirque shows to take kids to–it’s very whimsical, colorful and enchanting. There are probably about five English words uttered in the entire show. Otherwise, it’s just playful sounds and noises made by the show’s “bugs” and “insects.” Highlights for us included the Ants, Diabolos and Wall, which you can check out here.

If you can’t make it to OVO by the time it rolls out of town on February 27, don’t worry–the Cirque will return to Frisco this summer with Dralion and in the meantime, OVO will be in Houston during March.
