Cool-Hunting at the Homestead Hico Spring Antique Fair
May 13, 2011

As you know, we’ve been not-so-patiently awaiting the Homestead Hico Spring Antique Fair. So obviously, we had to head out there the moment it was open for business.
Homestead Hico, a beyond fab home decor store, hosts the antique fair in the architectural salvage yard next door. If you haven’t ventured to Hico simply to check out Homestead, go now. It’s 150% worth the trip. If you’re redecorating, we’re willing to bet that you can get 70%-80% of what you’ll need/want at Homestead Hico. This store’s a real winner, people. And on that note, you can vote for Homestead Hico to be a Best Store in Town here.
Here are some of the highlights from Day 1 of the Homestead Hico Spring Antique Fair:

Right away, we noticed how well-merchandised each vendor’s booth was, which really sets this antique fair apart from others we’ve seen.

There was a great selection of demi-johns (large French glass jugs), which are great for indoor/outdoor decorating.

We fell in love with several light fixtures, including these, which look like upended bushel baskets.

One of our favorites from Waco, Bloom & Bee Swanky, had a booth too!

We fell hard for these antique books imprinted with letters. What a beautiful gift, right? We dare you to tell us you wouldn’t love to receive one of these sets.
