We’ve been oogling the online offerings of Austin-based Mockingbird Domestics for a while now, and we were ecstatic when we found out they would be opening a brick and mortar location on South Lamar.  After a lot of hard work, the store is ready to celebrate their official Grand Opening this Saturday starting at noon.  Stop by and shop their beautiful selection of furniture, lighting and handcrafted objects, and enjoy live demos from local artisans, crafts for the little ones and ice cream from neighboring Lick Ice Creams.

After months of renovations, we cannot wait to peek inside the new-and-improved location of College Station Best Northgate Vintage.  The store is under new ownership and will reopen on September 6.  We think we’ll like the updated version of the store just fine, as they are still letting us pre-order TOMS via email at northgatevintagecs@gmail.com.  They know us so well!

We admittedly became amateur Facebook stalkers after we heard that former Houston Best Store, 310 Rosemont, was going to re-open in a new location under the name SAM and lilli.  The revamped clothing boutique, now on Kirby, is finally open for business and we could not be more excited!  Inspired by fashion icon Coco Chanel, SAM and lilli is stocked with must-have designers like Cosabella, Matt Bernson and 4Love&Liberty.

The long-awaited Arlington location of Sam Moon will officially be open for business this Friday at 9:30am just east of The Parks at Arlington at 1112 W. Arbrook Boulevard. This 17,000 square foot location will feature the always on-trend and affordable handbags, jewelry, shoes and scarves Sam Moon fans have come to love.

Our hearts broke a little when we found out Dallas Best Store Archive would be shutting its doors on August 25, but fear not vintage aficionados; you’ll still be able to find the same amazingly curated selection of designer duds at their new location in Austin, as well as at V.O.D. in Dallas. Until then, be sure to swing by to take advantage of their killer summer sale.  While Dallas will surely miss Archive’s fashion sense, we wish them the best in their new location!

Dallas’ queen of restoration, Leslie Pritchard, has opened up shop on Howell into what we’re pretty sure we’ll be our new favorite outlet store.  You can still purchase upscale home décor items from Again & Again—now on Riverfront Boulevard—but the Again & Again Outlet will feature old merchandise and more affordable consignment items in a 14,000 square foot warehouse.

Hold on to your statement earrings, ladies.  Sam Moon Trading Co.—known for its affordable, on-trend jewelry, handbags and accessories—has plans to open a new location in Arlington at the end of August.  Details are still trickling in, but they plan to set up shop in the old Linens N’ Things space in The Plaza at the Parks.  The jury is still out on whether or not they’ll carry home décor and luggage in addition to jewelry and handbags—keep your fingers crossed!
