That’s exactly what Bridgette’s  in Tyler did, with the opening of its adjacent shoe store called Bridgette’s Shoe Collection (nestled right between Bridgette’s and Harley’s). The new addition currently features 120 different pairs of shoes that highlight every spring trend you can imagine, from colorblocking to ankle straps to espadrilles. Such a glorious new way to feed our addiction…

Ok maybe not a full-on parade, but definitely on tour.

We’ve got a serious crush on College Station artist (and assistant professor in the department of visualization at A&M) Joshua Bienko due (though not entirely) to his latest exhibit Ever So Much More So. This latest collection of work utilizes the soles of Christian Louboutin pumps as canvases. Yes, you read right. Bienko has adorned our beloved redbacks with images like Andy Warhol’s Soup Cans, Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dogs and Takashi Murakami’s Happy, Smiling Faces.

The collection of shoes has been divided up and is currently on display at both the Houston (The Galleria) and San Antonio (The Shops at La Cantera) locations of Neiman Marcus.

And you thought you didn’t like art…

Bootleg, our favorite Austin airstream loaded with chic designer shoes (ok the only Austin airstream loaded with chic designer shoes), has rolled up on to the patio of TRACE at the W Austin for this month’s Sip & Shop event.

Bootleg is currently stocked with vintage and new designs from Opening Ceremony and L.A.M.B., plus a Messeca sample sale. They’ll be at TRACE through tomorrow, but we recommend popping over today for the best selection.

If you can make it a Monday-funday, you can also take advantage of happy hour pricing on TRACE’s S.I.P. menu all day long. After all, you’ll need to save a few bucks since you will have just blown the better part of next month’s rent on shoes…  It happens.

A brand-spanking-new Tyler’s is opening its doors at Southlake Town Square tomorrow! Incidentally, the grand opening coincides with the release of the limited edition Austin-inspired “Texas Classics” by TOMS. They go on sale at 2pm, and we recommend that you get in line early–like at 9am, when the store opens. You know how fast these limited-edition TOMS sell out…

TOMS shoes are a Texas staple (and one of our comfy-casual go-to’s), and now they’re getting a capital city makeover. The limited-edition “Austin Classics” are emblazoned with images like the State Capitol Building, the South Congress Bridge, and of course, bats. They’re sure to become a collector’s item and they’re going to be available at Tyler’s in Austin starting at noon on August 6. Mark your calendars…

While shopping in Waco yesterday, we popped into 2011 Best Store in Town Prefontaine completely unprepared. How were we unprepared, you ask? We had no idea they were in the midst of a 75% off sale!

We spotted this ah-mazing pair of chocolate brown Cynthia Vincent over-the-knee boots (originally $440) for only $110! Naturally, we had to have them immediately.

The good news for you is that there is one pair left–in size 8.5. Now here’s where the plea comes in: SOMEONE, PLEASE, PLEASE GO BUY THESE AMAZING BOOTS!

They’re just too good to go unsold! Sure, you’ll probably need to save them until fall, but this boot is a classic beauty–one that will stand the test of time.
