Travel to Historic Downtown Grapevine to sample original Texas wines without having to leave the comforts of the city limits. You’ll experience wineries surrounded by restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries on what is known as the urban wine trail. The distinct culture of Grapevine is what makes this destination one of our favorites for a wine weekend!

Every year in September, the city hosts the largest wine festival in the Southwest: GrapeFest. The event celebrates the best of what the wine industry has to offer. Jam out to live music, stroll along the historic strip of boutiques and shops and you can even participate in a GrapeStomp. With plenty of shopping, dining, and lodging options, this is the perfect place for the whole family or an adults-only trip.

We consider ourselves pro’s of the Grapevine wine scene, so let’s run down a few of our favs. First up, Messina Hof is a Texas staple and their Grapevine location is no exception. If you’re a fan of sweeter flavors, the Sparkling Almond is a must-try. Enjoy live entertainment and an on-site art gallery at Sloan & Williams Winery or have a sip of Bingham Family Vineyards award-winning selection.
